Yildiz 410 barrel removal
Yildiz 410 barrel removal
How in the world do you remove it ? 1 screw came out easily and the other will not budge. Are you suppose to remove 1 screw then knock pin out the other side ?
Re: Yildiz 410 barrel removal
Sumtoy just told me that he presses it out, but it may take a good "pop" to punch it out. Just be careful you don't damage internal threads of the tighter fit one. Gil

A press is best, but you can drive it out with a punch. I used brass with the receiver supported by a board with a hole drilled for the pin to drop into. Basically, the part you took out is the tension screw for opening and closing the action. The hinge pin is really the other part you have to get out.
Getting it out isn't the hard part. Just make sure your punch is a metal softer than the pin to avoid damage to the pin or threads. The hard part is getting it back in without bending the receiver. You probably want a press or large vice to get it back in like it was. I have a large vice, but I just tapped it back to almost flush and called it good. Gun works fine.
