Buice with push in mouth piece

I have a Billy Buice ABW trumpet with the push in mp. It seems that no matter what I do the mouth piece comes out during the hunt. I’m doing it the way mr Buice explained it to me, is there a trick you use to avoid this? I use one of Del Crow’s lanyards with an extra drop so there’s no danger of losing it, but still, is like it to stay put.

As you push in twist, it will lock. Doing it this way I've never had one come out.

I have been doing that. Evidently I don’t twist it enough or something. It’s a great yelper by the way!

Push harder, and twist until it locks.
