What is the make of 410? Gunsmith told me my yildiz wouldn’t work because aluminum rib was to thin.

If the internal metal work offers clearance, the fore end can be drilled for a stud. For my upland doubles that don't have the swivels factory mounted, I've used the CSMC Gamekeeper sling which buckles on the stock and a leather covered piece slides on the barrels with an opening over the rib. Can you post me a close up of the attachment on the barrel? Specifically interested what it look like as it is crossing the rib and if it affects the sight plain.

It doesn't cross rib. It's an inverted, somewhat square "C" shape of leather covered malleable metal that bends to fit gauge. As I stated above, it has an opening over the rib. It has a clear sight picture. It doesn't interfere with wingshooting or turkey shooting. According to vendor, it's currently out of stock.

Those have been out of stock for almost a year. If they say they are getting more please let us know. Gunsmith did say he could put stud into the forearm. I kinda thought that might wear the latch out prematurely. I guess it would work though.

I called them and they do not know when they may have them back in stock. I am going to check with my local Orvis.

In one of the older catalogs, there were different sizes for ranges of gauges. Don't know if one size fits all. Mine does fine down to 20 ga. Gil

I found an Italian company that makes one for a 410, but it’s $250 after shipping!

Looks like I’ll be going to a gunsmith to put one on or going the horizontal barrel clamp route.

Interested in seeing the link to the Italian Co. Just for info (curiosity).
Darne made one for their guns. At the stock was a small metal plate with a key hole. On the sling was a mushroom shaped bit of metal that slipped into the round hole and snugged into the narrow slot. The barrels had a similar leather covered clamp that the Gamekeeper has.

While the rib might not support screws, have you considered JB Weld or some other strong epoxy?

That’s the company that quoted the high price.

I have considered epoxy and may go that route if I have too. I also considered contacting a friend of mine who owns a machine shop and potentially fabricating my own slide over attachment.

Roost1, does the paracord "noose" over the barrel? The one we've discussed doesn't. Note how it is open where the rib and sight plane would be. Gil
