Howitzer Call

Post by Mastevt »

It's been awhile since I've posted here, so thought I'd share a recent custom build I did. Did this one out of a spent 105mm Howitzer Shell fired up at Camp Ripley. Call is to be awarded to the Commanding Officer there this spring on their annual Veteran Hunt. It's suppose to be televised by some hunting show, but forget which one. Came out pretty cool.
Thanks for looking. Scott.

Sounds good. Looks cool too. Is it heavy?

Yea. It's just under 5lbs. The base of that shell is really thick. The inside slopes up to just below those sound holes, where the sides are almost 3/16 thick.
Not sure I want to carry it in the woods.

Beautiful call. Maybe a set of wheels under that puppy!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
