Spurs
In 2010, a friend in WV gave me a glass cutting board with a great turkey scene. I didn’t want to use it as a cutting board & scratch up the glass so the scene couldn’t be seen so it languished in a cabinet for the better part of a year. I was cleaning out my freezer & found a treasure trove of turkey legs. I put 2 & 2 together & decided I would incorporate the cutting board & spurs into a wall hanging.
The spurs, board, & the frame I cut.
The assembled frame clamped & the glue drying. I routed out a channel on the inside back of the frame to recess the board. The 4 diamonds will be screwed to each corner of the frame to hold the board in place.
This was the finished product as of 04/15/2011. I didn’t have enough spurs to finish the whole frame & did use a few jake spurs. I ran a leather shoe string through the spurs, separating the left & right with a single wooden ball & the pairs with 2 balls stapling the leather to the frame after every pair. Both ends of the leather string were stuck through a hole in the bottom center of the frame, knotted & stapled in the back, & an Eastern breast feather glued into the hole to cover it.
Last year, I had accumulated enough gobbler spurs to replace all the jakes & fill in the empty spots. It took 17 sets of gobbler spurs.

Re: Spurs
I could take pics. and you wouldn't know the difference from new.. like anyone would do, if they were to sell it after they got it!!
Yer' just scared cause I called ya' on it Besides, it's worth more to me in the box and stowed away .. jest' in case of an invasion, then the 4 buck would come out
But I have all the spurs I need, 3 extra sets also and only 1 set set to go next spring, to add a top row of 4 sets, for a Grang Slam topping
