Repair of Muck Field Blazer boots

Post by decoykrvr »

I've patched holes in the neoprene w/ black gasket adhesive, but have a puncture/tear in the rubber. I've tried Plumber's Goop and even a rubber tire patch at a auto repair shop ( the glue wouldn't hold even w/ the rubber roughed up). Any suggestions?

i has a slit in one of my Woody Max boots, cleaned it out good and squeezed Gorilla glue in it then taped it it tight with duct tape so it all expanded in the the slit. next day took tape of and sprayed flex seal over it, been waterproof since. the Flex seal will wear off but only takes a few minutes to reapply and good to go.

I have better results with Sportsman Goop than Shoe Goo.

ithink you should try the following:

Neoprene Repair Kit, Consider using a specialized neoprene repair kit, which usually includes a patch and adhesive specifically designed for neoprene materials. These kits are formulated to create a durable bond and may offer better results than general-purpose adhesives.

Contact Cement, Neoprene often responds well to contact cement. Clean and roughen the surfaces around the puncture, apply contact cement to both the patch and the damaged area, let it dry for the recommended time, and then press the patch firmly in place. This method can create a strong bond. further, try to reachout professional emergency plumber
