Osceola Poults

Post by joey46 »

Picture won't be exceptional but should show four hens with over a dozen poults. Birds are in front of the white posts. This from this mornings scouting in a nearby Florida WMA. Surprised to see this many small poults this late. This area at least 60 miles s/o the north/south turkey zone dividing line (SR 70)so no question that they are Osceolas. Good to see. This area had good nesting conditions this spring.

Watched a video earlier today that a momma hen had approximately 11 polts

Good to see 4

At least there are some hatched and surviving

My son came up to the house this weekend and said he saw a hen with 7 poults on the other end of the property. Better then we had been seeing the past few years.
