28 gauge chokes

Post by Buck39647 »

Ok just got one of my 28’s back from being Dipped and Cerokoted, while it was gone I picked up 2 IC chokes and found out yesterday that both won’t fit in the 28 because barrels are too close.
So my question is after I figure out which one patterns best with my loads , What are some other chokes some of you may have tried and had good luck with that’s not as Big as a IC?
Thread pattern is Benelli Mobil

I will try all my factory chokes also but wanted to start looking at other options as well in case none pattern good enough for me.

Might email or call Indiancreek and see about having both milled down a hair to fit?

You didn't say what loads you are shooting, but if shooting TSS, I wouldn't want two Indian Creeks in the gun anyway. No good argument for an O/U vs a pump or semi unless you are going to use two different chokes for optimal short and long range performance. I would run the IC of your choice in the lower barrel and a flush mod in the top, depending on how tight you want your "open" barrel. May want to experiment with flush imp cyl, mod, and full.

Yes I will be shooting TSS, I have a few different loads I am going to try.
My 2 IC are different one is .520 and other .525

I am different than most and don’t really want a open pattern , I prefer a tighter high pellet count, My reason Is I’d much rather either take his head off or clean miss ,then I would dig feathers and shot out of his breast.
