sling
I'm setting up a double barrel to occasionally turkey hunt with. I am looking for a sling that don't require drilling the stock and rib between the barrels. I've seen pictures of what I'm looking for but can't find a source. Anybody know who sells them?
Re: sling
I was looking at the one from sloganoutdoors.com. I only use a sling when I am toting one out, though. I debate whether it is easier to carry one around in a pouch versus struggling with the gun when I have also to carry a bird. So far I have not got around to trying it.

Re: sling
Are you looking for the one with the neoprene “sleeve” that slips over and cradles the butt of the stock? I have one of those somewhere. I’ll see if I can find it. I’ve also see one with nylon webbing that goes around the stock, more of a tactical type look.
Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.

Yes, the neoprene that slides on the stock. If this double works out I may get the stock drilled for a sling stud

Re: sling
Yep.
Re: sling
The muzzle end of the sling below has an opening along the rib that allows a clear picture. I use one for woodcock hunting on a gun that doesn't have sling fittings. It's made of spring steel covered with leather.

Re: sling
this is what I went with.
Re: sling
Thanks, yes it's a Darne R-10 in 20 gauge from the postwar 1940's. 5 lbs., 11 oz. It was a lucky find. GilTurkinator wrote: ↑January 15th, 2018, 6:48 pmIs that a Darne? Re: sling
I finally found that sling this morning. Didn’t notice the maker. It doesn’t have the clip on the barrel end. I had it zip tied thru the vent rib. I’m outta town all weekend, but it’s yours if ya want it.Turkinator wrote: ↑December 8th, 2017, 8:27 pm Yes, the neoprene that slides on the stock. I have a couple of their slings - one for a rifle and one of the shotgun slingshowl wrote: ↑December 8th, 2017, 6:24 pm I was looking at the one from sloganoutdoors.com. they function well - not as pretty as that leather one on here but they are extremely functional
