Again, Thank you all for the very warm welcome! I know I'm going to enjoy this forum. I spent hours reading through the archives yesterday and picked up some great tips. Thank you for those as well!
Turkey season really seems like a long way off... Guess I'll go squirrel hunting today.

Turkey seasons closer than you think! Seems far off, but it’s right around the corner

Your daughter is cute as a bugs ear! Is that an M & M she’s holding or a deer turd?
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

But that sweet baby a .410!! Love getting the kids involved. She’d probably get along good with mine, pretty close in age and interests. We killed us a hog last weekend.

Thanks! They’re a lot of fun to kill, but I enjoy killing most things that the law allows. I wouldn’t be upset if I never saw another one. I’ve killed 7 since our deer rifle season opened, and who knows how many, for 2017. I hope ya get to hunt em some day...on someone else’s property. Don’t wish that headache on yourself. My latest was a bruiser...

Well....it depends on the pig, for me. I usually don’t eat the boars, especially the big ones. They can be “gamey”. But lemme kill a sow or anything less than 100lbs, and it’s coming home with me. If I can’t load it in the back of the truck, I ain’t eating it  I cooked a backstrap off of a 125lb sow, on the pit, last week. It was delicious. If I don’t feel like fooling with one, I just give them away. There’s always someone wanting a pig. I also get smoked sausage made. I think I’ve cleaned 3 of mine this year. Got about 40lbs of sausage and a few loins in the freezer. I can be pretty selective since I kill quite a few. Sometimes I just don’t feel like cleaning those nasty suckers, no matter the size.

And I can tell ya exactly what I did with that last one. I chained him to the Polaris Ranger and drug his big ass about 2 miles back to the house. I couldn’t load him. He was 250ish. Made a phone call and he was gone within 15 minutes.

Nice that you can eat the young ones. It sure sounds like they are a nuisance! Don't have them in these parts..Luckily..
