Mascara for the hunter
For the love of all things holy go to Walmart after Halloween and buy a bag of face paint at 10cents a tube and black yourself out. It's killing not a fashion show.
All these folks dolling themselves out with fancy designs are better suited for a drag show then the woods. Who in the hell wants to wake up earlier so they can look like The Ultimate Warrior!!!!

How about just skip the facepaint all together, and just wear a mask? It's not Halloween, most of us are not Navy Seals or Army Rangers, and men putting on makeup makes me a little nervous. But I do agree, some of these clowns on TV look like they're bush-league pro wrestlers.

I chew, mask prohibits spitting or stinks when saturated. Been painting, before painting was cool.Uncle Nicky wrote:How about just skip the facepaint all together, and just wear a mask? When I wore a mask, killed most in heat of the battle with it around my neck. But the length these guys are going to now is unbelievable. It's about dulling and sheen.

They look like a bunch of clowns.
Re: Mascara for the hunter
I used to paint, 'cuz I hated wearing a mask. Then, I started wearing a mask because I hated the cleanup. These days I don't even wear a mask or anything else on my face or hands....I guess it kinda makes me feel like I'm evening the playing field a bit.

I laugh my a** off at all the duck hunters that paint their faces. Face painters equal clowns in my book.
Re: Mascara for the hunter
I just pull my hat down, if I even do that. No face mask gloves or paint here.

Laugh all you want at the "face painters" but they sure kicked Custer's ass in a war paint second.

Haven't used any myself in 20 or 30 years, but when I did it was Army surplus that included an insect repellent. DDT I'm pretty sure...

Re: Mascara for the hunter
I dislike wearing a mask while bowhunting so i paint it up. Carbomask brand works well, isnt greasy and washes off easy enough.
I too think some of these tv hunters look ridiculous, especially when they use all black in some goofy pattern.

I like a mask to keep the bugs at bay for turkeys. I paint my face for waterfowling.

This would be beneficial if you like to hunt and play in a KISS cover band
