30 Hunts in 30 Days

Post by TimberlandTaxidermy »

Here is a quick trailer for our turkey videos this spring. We will be posting quick hunts every day for the entire month of April. I know I am biased, but I think we get better turkey footage than anyone I have seen. Let me know what you think.

I liked it. Great video.

Don't worry about these guys. They are cantankerous old dudes that think their way to kill turkeys is only way. They mean no harm. :LMAO: :LMAO:

At least on this forum we don't ban folks opinions.

Not any different than the other thousands of turkey KILLING videos out there. More crutches than in the hospital.
Lots of folks will love them cause that's all they know of turkey hunting.

I've killed dozens of turkeys years ago with nothing more than a mouth call and a shotgun. In all honesty, it was much easier than doing what we do now. Killing them with bows, and trying to capture great footage has made it far more difficult than back in the day. That being said, I think everyone should hunt how they wish if it is legal, and they find it enjoyable. I've never understood the elitist hunter mentality. Even if you don't enjoy the way we hunt them, surely you can find some enjoyment in the up close footage we have of the coolest birds on the planet.

As for bowhunting them without a blind, we have done that too...successfully. While the experience as a hunter was more challenging, the footage just isn't nearly as good.

The thing that I find hilarious about all this. guesswho posted a tread about one of his favorite turkeyhunters. Walter Parrot. I didn't know too much about him so I google him. Whats the first thing i see a video from him at Basspro promoting the use of blinds for turkey hunting. So when you say lots of folks will like them because thats all they know of turkey hunting I find it odd since guesswho's idle promotes them. So how does a new guy learning stand a chance when he gets ragged at for using blinds but the heroes of turkey hunting tell him to. :LMAO:

I'll watch Walters video's up until the first blind or decoy also. I just don't care for it and sure don't care to watch someone else do it. If that makes me an Elitist, so be it. But the reality is I couldn't care less how someone else does anything. And I don't form an opinion of someone based on how they legally do anything. I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it again. Honestly, I wish everyone used both blinds and decoys for turkey hunting. I just can't watch it or do it. And I try not to poke fun at anyone except people I consider friends or at least people I know that can take it and dish it right back out. If your one of those people I feel for you.

Always fun to get good video footage. I've been doing it for probably 6 years since my kid started hunting. It definitely adds another degree of difficulty to the mix. We used blind's early because she was small, but now not at all.

I know I like my videos non-hollywood, NO MUSIC and lots of gobbling and turkey sounds. Good luck!
