Great bird!

Post by Bigspurs68 »

I have had a awesome spring so far and today was a great bonus!! I helped my buddy get his hands on a giant of a bird. We were both at a loss for words when we laid eyes on this old WV bird up close. 1 3/4" and 1 13/16". What a beautiful set of hooks!!

Chances are good he has seen and heard it all. Congratulations to you both. Lot of hunters go a life time and never see anything close to that.

Great bird.

I mounted a bird from LBL KY with 1 3/4 " spurs back when I had a taxidermy shop in IL.

WOW!!! What part of WV? I had a close call with one in Roane county opening weekend that was a true stud. His spurs looked to be 1.5" or so according to the footage we got of him. That bird however is unreal! I would get that one mounted no doubt!
