Nice TX buck....

Post by Reloader »

Pullit and I had a great hunt out in TX. John got a dandy 8pt the first eve of the hunt. I connected on the 3rd eve with a dandy 8pt that trailed a doe into a small food plot at 200yds. Got to break in my new Gradous 7STW, which was the icing on the cake.

It was a fun trip, (fast for me) was out of the truck less than 18 hour from the time I arrived until I was headed home.
Was a good hunt with good friends.
Ronny's dad killed a really nice buck as well, post that one up when you get a chance.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun

Nice! Apart from the small brow tines, your dads deer doesn't look much like the typical TX whitetail. 2 big, fine deer.
Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.

Tommy,
I shot mine quick so I could get back and get my shoulder cut on. I will miss the rest of deer season and duck season but hope to be healed up by turkey season.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, Dads deer was more like a mid 130s 6pt. Would've been a stomper with nice brows added in. We were up near OK so they are big bodied deer up that way, not the typical small body South TX deer.

We've been around Tommy. I've been chasing 2yo twins and deer hunting every chance I can get. You're right, the taxidermist bills will be flowing before long :D
