2 days hard all day hunting with 2 of my favorite hunting buddies - both excellent callers and woodsmen. But at the end of the day, I found one that wanted to play - I hadn't heard or seen a bird; other guys heard, called, saw, broke, missed, etc.
4 pm - Saturday - just finished a soft set of yelps on my Albert Paul box, and I hear a BUNCH of Turkey's responding. Got situated, made a couple calls on the diaphragm to keep them on track, and finally @ 35 yards one separates, raises it's head, and gets greeted by 2 oz of # 5 shot. Sky turned black with turkey's - > 30. I had no idea, only had seen a handful in the brush.
10 lb. hen took a ride home in my truck.

Re: Blind Squirrel..............
Thanks, given the time of day and the fact we couldn't return in the morning, i chose to shoot one rather than break the flock. Managed a partial break hunting buddies were too far away to relocate and take advantage of it.
