This call was made by Jeff Dube with the lid hand-painted by his daughter.
The base is Sassafras, the sides are Poplar, the ends Rock Maple, and the
lid is Cherry. It was made in 2000. It sounds as good as it looks.
The stand is a “monster” whitetail shed I found in TX several years ago
while hunting Rios. We went jack rabbit hunting one night & the field
was full of deer, I lost count after 100. There were probably at least
twice that many which explains the size of the shed. The owner, my
buddies BIL, asked what I though he could do to get bigger bucks. My
response, shoot a LOT of does & limit the size & number of bucks taken.
Not sure if he followed through or not.
