Somebody smarted off about a high pitched whistle on a topic here and I can't find it now. Just know this thing is fool proof for striking quiet gobblers. If they don't answer it, you just don't have it tuned right. Change it 1/4 turn at a time until he anwers! Foolproof.

I got suckered into getting one of those when MAD put them out. Have no idea where it went.

And I never got a bird to gobble at it.

That was me that "smarted off" about the silent dog whistle. You wouldn't be Mark Drury, would you?? Other than a MAD advertisement, you are the first person I've heard first hand that had it work. Every gobbler that heard the silent whistle gobbled. Problem being it was a silent gobble. I never figured out how to tune something that I couldn't hear.
My buddies stopped using it. We felt we had been had. After a while, I expected someone from Candid Camera to jump out of the bushes when I used it.

can't remember which ditch i threw mine in.a guy that used to run an archery shop here was the one that sold his idea to MAD.the guy is living the dream now over a piece of junk.

To be clear, I was being sarcastic. I am definitely not Drury. I just stumbled across it and after you mentioned it the other day I wondered who else had been swindled. It will make a dog nervous!

At least I didn't buy the squealing hen or the Lohman pump action yelper!

I can't say I never got an answer with the whistle, though. Before season I got several responses to whistle, opening door, closing door, truck horn, yelling, shaking tin to create thunder. When they are hot they will gobble at everything.
