"would" of finished my converter box today. I order the 1st converter for the troller and later on decided to order another one for the lights. My 2nd Powermax 55amp converter came in a few minutes ago, damaged by shipping 1 of the fuse plug was damaged and shoved inside of the converter were I cant even retrieve it. The plastic cover were the pos. & neg. 8 ga. wire goes was totally damaged also.
I used a Plano 20" Plastic Tool Box, I have installed (2) 3" round aluminum vent with screens, I have (4) 3/8 Stud Type Junction Blocks & the cords are ran through a Cord Cable Wire Desk Grommet 1-3/4". Wire size is 8ga. wire with 8 ga. connectors crimped & shrink wrapped. Included the is the pic's of the damage converter. I notifed the seller already. Them shipping companies are rough on our packages, it like they dont care. Frustrating at times.

I'm thinking you are going to need vents in both ends of that box. If not you are going to be burning up fans on the inverters.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20

Re: Converter box
Well I took your suggestion seriously and ordered 2 more 3" circle vents, and 12v fan & push button switch......finished it. This should take care of the heating up issues. The new replacent converter should be here this week.gblack15 wrote:I'm thinking you are going to need vents in both ends of that box. If not you are going to be burning up fans on the inverters.
