Hey guys,
Here are a few photos of a sling that I recently made for my shotgun. I used paracord in Multi-Cam camouflage pattern and braided it using a ladder rack braid that I attached to my existing Uncle Mike sling swivels which I had mounted to a 2x4 for support. Altogether it only took about 2 hours of braiding.
It wound up taking about 80 feet of cord. The strap is thick, robust and looks a lot like a limb or something natural. I plan to hand paint the gun in a bark pattern so the sling will blend right in with that.
After I made it and tried it out with the gun, I found that the paracord is rather slippery, which is just a problem needing a solution. I solved it by dabbing clear silicone adhesive (AquaSeal) on the high points of the cords along the area of the strap that makes contact with my shoulder. The new dot pattern provides plenty of traction and it holds in place real well now.
Cheers!

FC, I saw your sling over at OG. Good idea on solving the slickness. Good lookin'. Gil

Looks really good. I think paracord would be great for a over under shotgun without any studs.
