Tri-Tip Stew

Post by HunterGKS »

I hadn’t done any in-the-kitchen cooking in several months & decided it was time. I had picked up a
couple of nice beef tri-tips at Krogers a week or so ago in a BOGO sale so stew it was.

I didn’t really measure anything, just cut up veggies until the crock pot was full. It took 4 large
carrots, 4 stalks of celery, 2 large sweet onions, 1 container of grape mators, 1 bag of baby red tators,
& 15 button mushrooms. I thought I had garlic & didn’t buy any. No garlic to be found but luckily, I
had some garlic powder.

Prep time was about 30 minutes. I set the crock pot to low at 10:30 & it was ready to go at 15:30.
A little salt & pepper was all that was needed.

Looks delicious, George!! That’s right up my alley.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

When I make stew whether it’s beef or turkey, I add an ounce or so of Worcestershire sauce while simmering. It makes all the difference in the world. It gives it an amazing flavor. Add a few shakes and try it. Taste and add as needed.

I'll give that a try when I heat it up tomorrow.

Liked it. Gave the stew a little more zip in its doo-dah.
