Gopher Tortoise Burgers

Post by slickyboyboo »

Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave, then the next step, add hotdogs as the heads, legs with slits for toes and tail.

Place on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. You can also put these on a smoker or grill.

A little crispy, not too crunchy...just how a Tortoise should be

OK...those are hilarious!!!!!!!!! My kids would so eat those. I worked for International Paper for 2 years hunting gopher tortoise on their property. Somehow the name stuck...hence gopherT. Gonna give these a try.

Tim,

I figured you would get a kick out of them, kids love them too. I herded those things for about 3 years down on Camp Shelby myself.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that
