Re: may be buying 19 guns..
You are close on the pricing. There is a lot of stuff on the list that would be hard to sell at any price. Much of what is there is not going to be an easy sell. Keep that in mind..Mike
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

How do I know for sure what model this gun is? my cousin bought it for less than 75 bucks from coast to coast hardware years ago with the stock cracked. They dropped it showing it to someone and it was the last one they had. She bought it at a discount and he used it like that to kill coon. if it wasnt for the crack, I think it would easily be a 98% gun.

Actually, the key to manufacture date on the Remington Nylon 66 is not the serial number, but a stamping on the barrel. There will be two letters, the first being the month, and the second being the year. The year codes are E-1958,F-1959,G-1960,H-1961,J-1962,K-1963,L-1964,M-1965,N-1966,P-1967,R-1968, S-1969,T-1970,U-1971,W-1972,X-1973,Y-1974,Z-1975,O-1977,Q-1978,V-1979,A-1980,B-1981,C-1982,D-1983, E-1984,F-1985,G-1986,H-1987,I-1988,J-1989,K-1990. Note that there are duplicates. Early guns had no serial number. Mid-production guns had no-prefix serial numbers. Later production guns had A-prefix serial numbers.
Heres a chart I have saved too
Heres a web site I have to favorites. http://www.nylonrifles.com/wp/

I will keep my eyes out for a smoothbore. I cant believe they made a smoothbore and different variants.ArkansasDon wrote:Hoolbilly, the smoothbore runs about 2,500.00. Guy here in Arkansas just pick one up in 95% @ he knows what he has too.
I am wondering if this stock could be plastic welded so that it wont get any worse.
and thanks for the info!

The ones that I see that would be tough sells are:
Pistols: #3 Rifles/Shotguns: #2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9.
But you never know. Good luck with the adventure..It sounds like fun..

Re: may be buying 19 guns..
thanks for the reply. I think the dbl barrel 12 will be hard, the single shot 410's I may have a buyer for. Group of local guys seem to love them.Hognutz wrote:The ones that I see that would be tough sells are:

The model 58 12 ga doesnt have the poly choke stuff, I hope to get a decent price for it. on gunbroker there is one for 130 bucks right no with a lot of bids on it.
the Pedersoli muzzleloader will be a keeper for me as its a .45 cal. Looking forward to shooting it actually.
