Blackhawk Tactical?
Does anyone have any experience with this stock that has the recoil system in it? Thoughts, pro's, con's? Is there a better choice available?

Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
I have a Knoxx which is the old name of the same stock. It works as advertised. I had it on my Mossy Super Bantam, but took it off and put it back on my 835. It adds over a half pound or more to the weight of the gun. I didn't need it on the SB, but it sure does help on the 835. To paraphrase the late Jerry Clower, one of us needed relief after shooting the Big Ugly.

Ronnie on the 20s I have the no Recoil reducing, just displacing the recoil to two spots makes a HUGE difference in felt recoil.. If the recoil reducing works half as well as advertised it is the answer.
Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
I bought the 870 sps-t smag that came out about 4 years ago with the knoxx stock that's the same thing it works great. Barry bought the one you are looking at an the cheak peace he don't have any complaints at all far as I know. He would be the one to ask also. Like I said it sure helps with the mag loads for sure.

I have no knowledge of this stock, but I have other Blackhawk items and they are great! Their warranty is incredible and great customer service.

Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
if your asking about the 6 position adjustable, has tons benifits. 1st it does reduce recoil alot. Another feature is adjustability, length. The other is you can not shoot it like a conventional stock, you adjust the stock properly and you keep you head up, your head is back at the end of the stock and you raise the stock to your line of sight.

You can't go wrong with one Ronnie. Mine is awesome on my 870SM. They're worth every single penny spent.

Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
Thanks, and yes, the six position recoil reducing one is what I'm looking at.Thanks, maybe Barry will chime in as well. I was thinking of trying one and then adding the cheek piece if I needed it.

Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
The Knoxx Spec Ops Mossy 12 gauge stock can be slightly modified with a slight nick via Dremel wheel to fit the 20 gauge Mossy. Otherwise, the slide release won't function properly.

I just ordered one. I must be a dumb-ass because mine's going on a Mossy One day I might join, I think the word was "elite" turkey hunters who use Remington's to kill boat loads.

I know, and my comment had nothing to do with your post. I was just going back several weeks when someone insinuated certain guns will make you a better turkey hunter.Johndoe wrote:No label Ronnie. Just had too many of them jam on me. If you like it I'm happy for you.

Re: Blackhawk Tactical?
For sure. I looked at one when Remington 1st came out with the Gobbler Max. I was afraid I might not like it. I later bought the Shurshot and liked it so much I bought 1 for my deer gun. I put the Knoxx on a 20ga for the kids and wounded vets and like it so much also that I want another as soon as they start making them again. I think the key is the pistol grip. It is so comfortable when sitting that I won't go back to traditional for turkeys.
