Ruger MK4 Sighted In.

Post by Hognutz »

I got my Ruger MK4 back from the gunsmith yesterday. I had him put in a Volquartsen accurizing kit. Dropped the 5 1/2lb trigger with creep to a 2 1/2lb trigger without any creep. Crazy awesomeness. Ultra dot Match Dot ll red dot scope. Fun stuff, right here!
20 yards with a rest. 10 rounds of CCI standard velocity.
The target is turned sideways. Click on it and it will show up correctly.
Thanks for looking!

Squirrel hunting for sure. I have a holster for it so I can take both the rifle and the pistol. It really is a hoot to shoot. Crazy accurate.

Surprised yours had a heavy trigger. All mine are 3.5 or under and clean.

Is yours a MK4, Okie? Mine had a ton of creep. The mag disconnect has a bunch to do with that from what I understand. You get rid of that with the Volquartsen kit. That’s a major pain anyhow. Not needed, in my opinion.
It was 5 1/2lbs and pretty horrible.
They are great pistols.

I've got 1 and dad has one. Then we both have 2 or 3 mark 2's a piece. All mine have been quite nice triggers. Maybe I just got lucky...

Or maybe I got unlucky. I have a MK2 that has the stock trigger and internals. It’s not bad but it’s not like this one after the trigger job. With the Volquartsen trigger you get pre and after trigger adjustments. It’s a great upgrade, if needed. I’m not the worlds greatest handgun shooter so I need all the help I can get!
