I'm finally in the market for my first AR optic and have it narrowed down to either the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 https://tacticsfaq.com/vortex-strike-ea ... viper-pst/ or the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24. I just wanted to get an opinion from anybody that has experience with both optics to see what you guys think is the better choice for an all around/SHTF AR.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Vortex Viper PST vs Strike Eagle
On a AR I prefer a scope. 3-10x40/44 range. On lowest setting it’s easy to lift and be on point

I see the option is very well. But if you`re going to shoot in a huge distance it`s always the problem with bullet movement. As for me, a better way is to buy any range finder like this one https://www.atncorp.com/range-finder The best for hunting, you may use it as a separate gear. In case of low distance, it is always a useful thing, I can easily see the distance to the animal.
