I have a extended choke tube in my 870 supermag. I bought it this way and knew it but figured alittle soaking in different penatrating oil and it would be free. I was wrong.
What’s yalls advise?
Stuck choke in 870
Re: Stuck choke in 870
If you did not use Kroil as a penetrating oil that is the first thing that I would try. Place enough Kroil in a container so that you can put the barrel in choke first and leave for several days, then take a heat gun and heat the barrel (not the extended portion of the choke). You may have to repeat several times. Do not rush it, if you ever get the choke to move a tiny bit just keep repeating the soaking process till you get it out.

Re: Stuck choke in 870
Take it to a machine shop
Get a easy out that fits halfway down into choke
Use a big adjustable wrench and firmly turn it
I had a rifled choke tube stuck and did this. Popped right out
Couldn’t get it any other way
May need to warm the barrel up with a butane torch if severe
