Heavy Shot, Heavy 13 Mag Blend. 5,6,&7. It's been by far the best patterning shell thru my gun, using 3 differant chokes. Currently using the Jebbs .655 in my Mossberg 835. Buddy and I cut open a TSS shell yesterday. Was we surprised to find plastic disc shaped pieces in it. He's not using them any more.

8’s or 9’s in 12-20ga. 9.5’s in the 28-410 loads

Burris FF3

Haven't seen a difference at the ranges I have killed. Smallest so far T9.5s. I prefer just bead, but have gone red dot for...reasons.

TSS various sizes of shot and gauges. My goal is to have around 550 pellets in any given payload. 410 being the exception.

I started out shooting 8s. Moved to 8.5s. Now I’m shooting 9s and they seem to be a gracious plenty. 9.5s in the .410.

I shoot a Burris.

This year I moved from 3" Heavy Shot #6 out of a Remington 870 with a .665 Indian Creek choke to shooting hand loaded 3" TSS #9. I also moved from fiber optic sights to a Burris FF3. Good stuff!

I killed my birds with Mag Blends this year because I was toting my Browning the days I killed birds.

I like T8’s in a 12 gauge, but I use 9.5’s in everything else.

No disrespect intended, but if Hevi-shot MagBlends are the best patterning shell you have shot through your gun, you have obviously not shot any handloaded TSS. There will be no comparison. Can't speak to the various factory loaded options because I don't shoot them.

I'm sure optimal patterns can be achieved thru handloading, just as with rifle rounds, but I don't reload. Don't need another hobby, nor have the time. With all the turkey calls I make, that pretty much takes all my spare time. But, getting 204 pellets in a 10 in circle at 30

yards, I think is pretty impressive. And I'll take it all day long.

I prefer TSS #9 hand loads 2oz with factory bead.
But I have several guns and shoot sub gauges as well. Like 9.5 in the 410 and 9's in the 20ga.
Vortex Venom on 20ga, AT3 RD50 on 410, bead on 12's.
