Pulled the Trigger!

Post by CamoMan4025 »

Well I've been eyeballing a new rifle for a few months now. I ended up getting it last night at my local Cabela's. It's a Tikka T3X Superlight in 6.5 Creedmoor. I can't believe how light it actually is and as far as the trigger, there is no creep. I put a Vortex Diamondback 4X12X40 scope on it. Yea I know it's not a high dollar scope, but I'm pleased with the scope and gun. I went to the range this morning and I am extremely happy. The only ammo I could find last night was Hornady Precision Hunter 143 grain ELD-X. I would have liked to get a smaller grain, but I went with what I could find. Below are the pics of it and my target this morning. I'm not sure why, but I was very nervous/anxious this morning on the bench. I probably shouldn't have drank that XL Dunkin Donuts coffee first??? The target is from 100 yards and my last 5 shots.

Love my Tikkas. Have a T3 Stainless in 7mm-08 and another in 30-06, Shooting the Hornady Precision Hunter 150 ELD-X in the 7-08. Here is a 200 yd group, 3 songdogs sniped at a little over 200 yds at my club, and my best buck to date, all taken with the 7-08.
