Loctite or something

Is there a loctite product strong enough to hold a barrel swivel on the underside of a side by side shotgun or do I have to get it drilled and tapped?

Definitely drill and tap. I wouldn’t chance jbweld or something like that to hold a sling swivel

Drill and tap for sure. I would hate for the swivel to break loose and your DB to go crashing to the ground.

If it has a red dot you can make a paracord sling that does not need a swivel. You save the weight of the studs and swivels that way.

Don’t have red dot yet. Wife sent me to big city to get new stove and I spotted an acedemy sports. She wasn’t real clear on stove budget so I got nice yildiz side by 410 and real cheap stove at Lowe’s. She said she would split cost of stove. I hope she believes the thing was 900 bucks. I mean I needed the 410 to put meat on the stove.

Check out “anysling.us”. Paracord adjustable, swiveless. Easy to use.

Here's the removable sling I use on a woodcock/quail SxS doubles. The barrels are held by leather covered spring steel "C" with the "C" opening along the rib giving an unobstructed sight plane.

I like the way this one looks. Do you think it will work with 410 barrels? Things are tiny

Maybe not. Only way to find out is to call and ask. I use mine on a 20 ga. and was able to compress to fit, but .410 is considerably smaller. It may be compressible to fit, but the ends of the clamp might be too close together on a .410. Would you be shooting off a bead, rifle sight, peep or red dot? Gil

Red Green said he would use camo duct tape, here on the Rockyboy Indian reservation the natives call it "Rockyboy Weld"

Here's the spread for a 20 gauge double. Note the gap. Gil
