Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle

Been too busy trying to fill the freezer, and haven't had a chance to hardly pull the trigger yet, but watch out, come the end of Jan!

You did a great job on putting that all together. I don't think you're gonna be disappointed with that Baby.

Dang Slicky, can't believe none of these turkey killers don't see the beauty and greatness of your new rifle!! Specially Ricky, with that big Gold Ring sitting on top.

Congrats on the 280 ackley they are great efficient rounds I have had mine for about 7 years and love it, I have shot everything from 120 BT at 3500fps which are poison on our MS deer to 162 amax, it is a heck of a shooter!!

Re: Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle
Thanks everyone, I'm glad to have it done, and stoked at how it turned out.
John,
I have been so busy trying to fill the freezer this year, that I haven't even had a chance to work up a load for it yet. I will say that it is giving me 3000 fps with 162 ELD-Xs, with a below listed max load of VVN560.

Re: Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle
My 280AI will do 3100 FPS with 140's but I am sure I could get more but it is shooting in the .3" group size, so I am good where I am.
Oh and mine has a 24" Hart barrel.

Re: Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle
Damn nice looking rig Barry. That turned out really, really well. It was worth the wait, I know you've had that in the pipeline for years. Sometimes customs can take years to finish, other times not so much.
I'm building Dad a 6Rem right now, went with a Brux #3 8 twist. He bought 500 95grn Partitions, so I sure hope it likes that pill LOL.

Re: Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle
Very Nice! I'm a big fan of custom 700's. Ive been wanting to do a custom lightweight rig. I have two heavy rigs, but not as purty at that one.
