Custom Made Choke Tube help

Post by TheWoodsman »

I would like some recommendations on who can custom make a choke tube if a choke is sent to them.... also a contact name if you have it.

This is for my .410

Thanks

Sumtoy.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

If he would answer calls, texts or emails, I would consider it. He is off the charts.... this has been going on over 8 months with him.
He made me 2 chokes, one was over choked and he said he would open it up. I sent him the choke to modify last year, the choke is made up and all he had to do was hone it out. He simply will not respond. Tired of it.

I've emailed Briley three times, once last week, in the last year or so without hearing back. Guess I need to call em. Dale, did you call Briley, or email them?

Who did the threads on that gun? Or is it factory threaded?

I have used Briley and Sumtoy. I prefer Sumtoy, Briley reps could care less if you buy anything and act like they are in a hurry to get off the phone. Briley would really rather you order online and not have any contact with them. Just my observations, and my sumtoy choke shoots better than the Briley.

That's quite odd for sumtoy to not call back. Could be super slammed right now with everyone rushing to get guns tuned for the upcoming season. Doesn't explain 8 months with no contact though.

I would like to use Sumtoy, I mean it's his choke but tired of the run around. It only needed honed out .013", that's the kicker and when I sent it he said he was going to be doing more 410. I am cutting my losses and moving on. I have dealt with him in the past so I have a history with him. I bought my Baikal off of him.
Doc, it is factory threaded.
WW, I got the same response as you did with Briley, none. Their site is tough to navigate now.
Thanks guys.

A friend of mine got William on the phone early this am and ordered a 20 ga choke. Was told it would take about 2 weeks. William has just bought a newer, larger building and the move is slowing him down.

Custom Made Choke Tube help

Post by wbpc »

William has my 410 barrels now building me two chokes. Not sure when he will be finished but he said for me to give him a little time because he was moving his stuff to his new shop. I've talked to him a couple times on the phone in the last couple of months.
