Damn they shoot good Ronny.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

good job Loder!

how much invested (sans scope etc) in each of them?

I need another AR and would like to build my own.

Anderson seems to have good stuff. buddy of mine in Ky built 2 and they both shoot really well too
Don't start none, won't be none!

New ARs...

Post by Reloader »

Thanks guys!

Tommy, I function and accuracy checked them with a Nikon 6-18. That scope has been on a pile of new rigs to test accuracy. I keep it and various mounts on my bench.

I fired a group with cheapo 62g fmj(~3/4" from both) and the two above with 69g match. Good enough. I bet I could make em dance with hand loads. Dad will prob only run factory. Can't blame him in 223/556. Almost not worth it to load with ammo being as cheap or cheaper than components alone.

Hoobilly, IIRC I have around 900 in the top rig and 700 in the bottom rig. That's sans optics. You can build a pretty nice rig for 700. You can build a reliable rig for 500, but it gets a little more with the bbl and little upgrades. Of course the sky is the limit. Dad wanted to keep it at 2k with two rigs ready to rock.

I am liking the top rig for sure, that is close to what I have in mind for mine.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun

First post as well as attempt to post a picture. DPMS LR308. Target was at 108 yards 19 shots. 168 grain Berger bullets. Heavy rifle but accurate.

Sorry, was not trying to rub it in, just posting to let folks know that the AR platform is capable of good accuracy.

I was joking. I have a 556 and a 6.8. 6.8 shoots better groups.
