There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

Is that a problem? Just don't ever load the gun and you'll be okay. ;)

I just tried that with the girls 20ga sxp with 1oz game loads and got a pretty good dent in the primer but it didn't fire. This has me wondering if a heavy load would have enough resistance to allow the firing pin to hit just hard enough. either way, I'm iffy about the gun now. They like it but if it's not safe, they aren't using it. Period.

Saw that vid on another hunting site.

Dangerous for sure. Winchester has a problem on their hands.

It would be interesting to know if that is a stock gun with no work done on it? Something is not right there for sure!

I can't figure out what would cause that. He pulled the trigger after the shot and the hammer dropped so it obviously didn't before as you have to cycle it to reset the hammer.

The firing pin is floating inside the bolt. Too much I'd say. I have not pulled apart a bolt on a Winny so I don't know if it's a spring issue or what that might be.

The recall isn't for the 20s, but I'm going to have to test my 3 win pumps out.

Thanks for posting this. This just illustrates why gun safety is important and if we do it, everything is fine even when something goes wrong.

Looked at a diagram and it has a firing pin spring. I would bet that is the problem. Should be an easy fix
