grabbed my nephew (some of you will know him as the "Ithaca Kid") He has yet to kill a song dog.
I told him about the 2 yetis in the ditches and said lets roll. he asked me if he could use my gun to take the first shot.
I said yeah.. we got set up and watching these two yotes play round. kissing a chasing each other. man they sure was in love. once they stopped fornicating.. they went back to sniffing out mice. at 200 yards I gave my nephew the 243 Styer and told him to hold it dead on the big male and smoke him. well after a minute and watching him do fig8s with the barrel I knew he might not kill it. bang! the snow at its feet peppered him and he took off! I said gimme the gun and worked the bolt. got on the female who started walking and my nephew said the males coming towards us, gimme the gun. I lol'ed at him and shot the male. worked the bolt again and the female was high tailing it out of there.
my nephew tends to get excited..maybe next time
