Song doggin with my daughter..

Post by Hoobilly »

After a busy day, and trying to get my 243 sighted in, finding the scope is broke and grabbing my sons 223 Savage, my daughter and I head home. Knowing theres a pair of votes living behind the homestead we were planning on suiting up and setting the call and mojo puppy dog.

Pull in the drive, see 13+ deer out pawing in the snow for corn. Walk inside and no sooner getting into the kitchen, my daughter yells theres a coyote!

Sneak out the front door, get the savage out of the Jeep and sneak to the side porch. Coyote is 200 yards and must have heard me as she took off on a trot. I get fur in the scope and moving with her. squeeze the trigger and she spins around and like a bolt of lightening she took off to the timber. my daughter gets her gear on, and we commence to tracking. where I shot the female it wasn't good sign of a solid hit. little blood and lots of fur. at least 20 yards of pee where she emptied her bladder to run like the dickens.

So many deer tracks where she ran thru and couldn't hardly find blood. I seen where she ran thru and kept on looking. finding blood at last(150 yards from where I shot her) we hit some very thick saplings that are almost a blower and can't crawl in there. we circle around to where we can get on the tracks. I let my girl keep looking for blood and we go another 50 yards to a pile of timber that was bulldozed over(but not real thick. I knew that coyote could be in there..

we followed her prints and blood. when the trail went around the pile I could see the blood up next to the downfall. I told my daughter to keep looking and she said heres a hole. I point to the blood and she lets out a scream and points There IT is!

literally 3 feet from us. I couldn't get the gun up fast enough and watched her go deeper. I ran to the side and found here laying there really tight and waited for my daughter to get behind me and finished off my bad shot. My daughter still hasn't shut up about how much fun we had,
heres a few pictures hope y'all like

Well done Brice.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that
