Memorable kills at camp

Post by Gobbler »

If we remember we try to write down some of our good and memorable kills at Gobblers Lodge . I took a picture of the wall by the door where we write the notable kills.
Do you have any things you do at your hunt camp?

Nice diary.   We record our deer kills on the inside walls of our blinds.I mount all my turkey tails and just write the info on the back of the mount.
Put you plans in the nail scarred hands.

Dang, I missed my mouse last night. She was maybe 3-3.5 oz. hope to get another opportunity tonight.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

When you kill a big mouse that has terrorized you its a good feeling.
That joker jumped on me twice that night so I had to get the BBgun and set up a blind and then it was ON!

I might would record a mouse kill, but with turkeys I just put feathers in peoples grill's, 4-wheelers, coolers and anything else they leave open. One boy left his camper unlocked after deer season to keep people from breaking after season. He didn't leave anything worth steeling and just didn't want his camper damaged. When he did come back up in the summer nothing was missing and two of his pillow cases had turned into two feather pillows laying on his bed. Can't imagine who would do something like that.

I don't have a picture of it, but we have a camper set up sorta permanent that several of us stay in. We have pictures of most of our deer and turkey kills on the wall as well as some big bucks we had on camera that we never got. Several pictures on the wall now.
