Lily's Jakes and Gobbler
http://youtu.be/7XsCPus07nQ
This was my second attempt at videoing, so don't cuss me too bad. Thought it was cool enough to post. Spuriosity's Hunt/ kill vid will be up in a few days,.... finally figured out how to finalize the CD.
She was sitting 10yds to my left and behind a fuzz. I was pretty proud she held off of the Jakes, she could have taken anyone of them, at any time.
She even saw the Longbeard long before I did. They ended up all flying up to roost right in front of us right afterwards. This was Sunday eve, so no hunting on Monday,.... Dangitt!!!!!

Cool footage. But where's the kill shot?
Re: Lily's Jakes and Gobbler
That was cool. That was a fine looking long beard too.
Put you plans in the nail scarred hands.

Cool footage, and that gobble box definitely sounds good.

My uncle in PA gave it to me about 30 years ago. Don't even know what brand it is. I have never seen one like it anywhere. May be handmade.turkey_slayer wrote:Tommy you got to sell me that gobble box! Where did you get?
It is very unreliable though, with temps and moisture in the air, but when it's on, it's on!!!
Trying to learn how to gobble better with my voice, but still ain't quite there yet,...LOL!!

Re: Lily's Jakes and Gobbler
so i recorded the audio and looked at the mapping with my audio spectrum analyzer on my computer. it IS AN ELECTRONIC CALL!!!! same exact wave each call and if you notice there is a specific click at the end of the last gobble note!! That click is an audio canceller on an electronic device!!
unless the clicking at the end of each gobble was a noise suppressor in your recorder to impede noise saturation. But still, to be able to create the same wave for every gobble in that video is INHUMAN!!
Loved how you told her to "just shut up" in the vid too! I laughed so hard!

That's why I asked, the calls sounded exactly the same every time.
Pass the biscuits!!
