3 great days of coyote calling!

Post by derbyacresbob »

I was very fortunate and was able to go coyote calling with Big Al Morris and videographer Mike Law on this last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
We wanted to get at least 7 called in coyote kills on camera in 4 days so FoxPro could make a FoxPro Furtakers show.
Everything worked out great and the coyote population is higher than it has been around here for at least 5 years. Our results were better than I could ever imagined or dreamed of.
I talked with Al Morris on the phone around 2 or 3 weeks ago and asked him if I  could  use a shotgun on every stand and he said that was fine with him. So on every stand that we made in the 3 days I used a shotgun and Al used his rifle.

The above coyote was called in and taken with a shotgun on the 2nd stand on the first day.

I took the above two pictures on the 3rd stand of the first day.

The above picture is from the last stand on Tuesday when I got 4 coyotes with my shotgun. That is Mike Law the videographer in the picture with me.
It was a great 3 days, we ended up getting 23 coyotes in 3 days. Big Al's record for taking coyotes on camera before our hunt was 18 coyotes in 4 days in Alberta Canada.
We got about the same amount of coyotes with Al shooting his rifle and me shooting a shotgun. One thing is for sure, Al is the best shot I have ever seen at hitting running coyotes with a rifle.
Thanks to FoxPro and Al Morris for making this hunt happen. It was a honor for me to get to hunt with Al and Mike on these 3 days.

OLE RASPY can you see the pictures now?

I think it will end up being two shows since we had so much action.

Hopefully they will air in February or March.

Thanks soiltester for letting me know you can see the pictures.

I am having trouble with figuring out Flickr and I may have some computer problems too.

The two bucks I got in California this past season. They are nice bucks for California.

That’s some crazy awesome coyote killing there, Bob. Great pictures. Nice to see Big Al again. He’s been around forever. Haven’t seen or heard about him since he was on the tube with that Tred Barta guy. Then he got that spinal tumors or whatever and he was gone after a year or so. Is he still around?
Good stuff, Bob!!

Yes, Al Morris was with Hunter's Specialties. Al has been with FoxPro Game Calls for about 4 years or more now.
