Turkey vest zipper question
Turkey vest zipper question
So how do you quiet your turkey vest zippers? Paraffin wax, spray lube?? Mine sounds worse than Velcro being separated!
Re: Turkey vest zipper question
they make a powder style lube that comes in a tube, I'd try that before a spray...I don't have this issue so I don't know...

If you can't get that zipper to quiet down. Go to Cabela's in Tacoma near Joint Base Louis Mchord.
And get a modern vest. I was there in June. But bring some money they ain't giving them away. LOL

Paraffin from bar or candle.

Re: Turkey vest zipper question
I don't think mine has a zipper, I'm too fat to close it up anyway. I've heard soap or candle wax works well.

Picked up a few good pointers from some SEALS while I was in the suc.
Cut off the metal pull tab, para-chord in place (stop the klinking), and using an old white candle works best. It doesn't have a smell like the soap that would attract bugs. It lubricates and silences.
