Alps Long Spur

Post by 202P&Y »

Anybody tried one of these? Looks light and compact. I like that you can remove the fanny pack off the back if not needed. The hide away game bag really intrigues me also. I usually tote a gobbler lounger and I believe this would help toting a bird out vs a turkey tote that you throw over your shoulder. Any thoughts?

I bought one at the end of last year when my Primos Rocker vest finally completely gave out. I never hunted it, but I put my stuff in it and wore it around some and my first impression is that I like it. My plan is to carry a Crazy Creek style chair since none of the vests with them built in nowadays hold up. One thing I really like about it is all pockets are completely removable, so mid morning if you wanted to drop the big bulk pouch on the back or the two front pouches you can. It is definitely lighter and more open than any vest I've ever worn.
