He's Back...

Post by ole5beards »

Real turkey hunting genius

Today we salute you Mr. Cutt-n-Run turkey hunter
Not many other hunters can run a call quite like you

The way you put strong emphasis on calling only
Reminds the rest of us why we don't hunt that way

That 30 minutes you gave your 1st set up while calling every 2 minutes
Will most definitely make our jobs a lil tougher but more rewarding

And when that gobbler gobbles at your first call
You and only you think he's "heading your way"

How you look at public land as your personal playground for trying all your calls
Will absolutely reassure that not many others will step foot in there

The way you squeeze in a 45 minute hunt weekdays before work
Will guarantee that come the weekend you'll be ready to call it quits

You have a remarkable way of covering 2,000 acres in under 2 hours
And yet you can tell after 1 hunt the birds are henned up and gobbled out

Due to your lack of patience we guarantee you'll be playing golf after the 3rd week of the season
And that doesn't bother the rest, we like batting clean up

No one else looks forward to only the 1st 2 weeks of season the way that you do
So that's why today we salute you Mr. Cut-n-Run turkey hunter!!

Disclaimer: the songs and views expressed by Dave Bickler are not the views of Gobbler Nation or any of its members. It is simply a joke or spoof whatever way you want to look at it. It's simply created in the mind of a man with too much time on his hands. This is a short series designed to make fun of every single turkey hunting style out there, and is no way the truth. Gobbler Nation as well as ole5beards is not intending this to piss people off, it's a joke to stir the pot right before turkey season, so please enjoy!!

Maybe the 2nd year i turkey hunted I was on a power line in northern Mi. Thought I had the place to my self til this fella starting working that squeaky screen door he was using. It had to be a door cause i can't imagine a box call sounding that shitty. It was non stop for at least an hour. Thank goodness it started raining.

Add this one if you want. And no this is not me saying that. :)

I have hunted enough years, I can tell the difference between a Jake and long beard gobble every time and if the long beard is a 2, 3 or 4 year old.

Or, I have hunted this bird 3 years now. Well ok if it does have a very distinguishable characteristic.

Yes, I have heard that before.

Funny stuff, good job ole5beards. Surprissed you didn't mention "if they're not gobbling its not worth hunting them."
