I would go with A and B. There have been times when I haven't done my homework and I sneak in where I have been around turkeys in the past. Usually the areas I know where birds roost are pretty long hikes and/or sometimes I combat a lot of water. That being said, I usually can get to one central location and listen and make my move from there.

A Slide in close to the known roost area and hope for one to be there. If they are, then I am good shape. If not and they start gobbling somewhere else, then make a move on them. Too many variables to talk in absolutes.
