What type of flash light do you use?

I use a flash light with a red, blue and clear lens. Last year I walked to the woods and used the red lens which did not seem to bother the turkeys.

I am a cheapskate when it comes to flashlights. Usually carry one of the freebies from Harbor Freight or a Hannity throwaway.I don't worry about spooking the turkeys.

I have cheap Energizer headlamps from Wal Mart, but I do not use them very often.

When deer huntin If moons bright never even pull the light outta my bag. Same way with turkeys but if I do use it it is a stream light

I've honestly never heard of anyone using a flashlight for turkey hunting. I've never done it. When I was learning to hunt turkeys, my mentors never used them, so I guess that's why I don't. Always figured it'd spook a turkey. As far as flashlights for other purposes, I have a rechargeable streamlight that stays on charge in my truck at all times. I love it. Got a few mag lights too.

Like stumpy I use stream light. Turkey hunting tho I rarely use em cause I know the areas so well. I do keep one in hand in case I run into a bear

Last year was my first time dedicated to turkeys so I had/have a lot to learn. Some of the areas that I hunted involved going through fairly thick timber so I used a flash light to navigate through and around down trees and other objects. I didn't know that you should not use a light, but I did use a red lens. When I was in an open field I did not use a light.

I use a regular cheapy one but I will only go so far with it, then I wait until I can see the outlines of the trees then go without

I don't normally use one but, I do use a red filter for creeping through the woods to try to be stealthy. If I point the light towards the ground I think I am good. Keeping my footpath lighted makes for a more quiet walk. If I am getting close to the roost, I go lights out.

Same here very seldom use one. Red or green lens when I do keep it pointed down.

Same here. I carry a very small headlamp in my vest in case of an emergency, But it lives in the vest.

I use a streamlight lil pen led. Used it for ten or so years will probably lose it now.

I use hat clips, but I keep breaking off one of the plastic clips, and end up carrying it in my hand. I do not like the heaviness of flash lights. The hat clips weigh nothing, but actually put out decent light.

I've honestly never heard of anyone using a light turkey hunting. I typically walk 2 miles or so before they're even close to flying off the roost (through woods, not roads) and have just never carried one. I typically use one when walking in and out deer hunting so that I don't get shot.
