Sleep in, show up late, grab a full strut decoy and walk or crawl out to the turkeys. Tote a light gun and be careful not to poke it into the dirt and block up the barrel.

I hunt a similar spot in Kansas, and I used just 1 breeder Hen. They flew down to the right and set up strut all day at the far right wood line, where I wished I had set up. However, stayed patient, because the Tom's (5) would stare at my decoy, and gobble at her occasionally. Sure enough they ran out of Hens, and 2 came for a visit on the way back to roost. Filled my second tag, and went home. I called about every hour to remind them I was still there. I use a breeder Hen and feeder Hen, but do not use my Jake that often. Because a lot of the areas I hunt have sparse cover I have found birds hang up if they see no decoy after coming to the calling.
