I asked a question about fanning birds on a different forum once and the response was an overwhelming, "NO!!". I have considered it on private land, but I'm still weary of the safety factor. You never know when some big dummy will decide to venture onto your spot.

Yea, try that in the marsh I hunt and you will be face to face with a BIG Snake or Gator. Better bring some clean britches you will need them.
