Re: Roost or not to Roost

I've had real good luck roosting birds and try it quite often during the season. Our birds here at home rarely gobble in the eve, I probably only hear maybe one or two a year gobble on the roost here. I've killed them the next morning more times than not when I knew right where they were. I've had the rascals gobble on up to well after dark at every hoot at times, sure helps penning them down. It seems that I've had much better luck roosting them the night before the season before everyone starts chasing them.

I've had real good luck roosting them on out of state hunts, a big Rio roost is a must hear :D
