Thought I would post a few pics of turkeys in what my wife calls "the Dead Room".
Here's my first Goulds...the boy is looking a bit rough....been through some hard times...
My best Rio...and a couple of his little wax buddies...
A big old Merriams gobbler from the Mescalero Reservation here in NM
A flying Eastern from southeast OK
My last Osceola from a few years back
For those that are into such things, this Goulds just happens to be the #1 bird (by a mile)
Yes, I guess you could say I like turkey mounts.....

Yeah, he is! ...Has eight beards. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime gobbler. ...Had no idea what I had shot until I decided to see how he would compare to the Goulds in the record book. He scores 139....the next closest bird is somewhere around 115. Talk about getting lucky!

Yeah, I suppose so,...he is listed in the records. I prefer to say that he holds the record and I was just the lucky guy that got to pull the trigger!....
