Goulds mounts made it home

Post by fountain »

Here are mine and my wife's goulds gobblers from 2017. We went with el halcon and had an absolute fantastic hunt. Mike at Blackwing taxidermy mounted them and his work is as good in real life (actually better) than the pics I've seen.

Mine is the stutter and my wife's is the upright

Your gobblers head is very realistic, great paint job. Most mounted gobblers have to much red IMO but this one looks like the real thing.

I said same thing, but after my royal I’m going for peacock now. Just to say I did it. I’m not registered as in you can’t look it up on internet. 😆 you won’t see my name on nwtf or anything.

Dont guess I can say anything there...these to make 10. The only thing we are missing is an osceola for my wife. We never had one mounted for her and I beleive the well has ran dry on our hunting grounds

Yep. I did a ton of IT work for my taxi and it was so worth the trades. Each one is extremely special - I might have to post a few pics!!! Even have an Iowa state record - triple full beards (each 9”) and he’s a beaut. Only one I was missing was a bearded hen but I finally scored one with a 7” beard in KY and she’s happy on top of a replica of my taxis studio - Jan George is the most talented bird mounter I know!!
