Killed my first Rio last year,today he's home with me..didn't wanna do the full strut mount due to the spurs which was 1 1/2 and 1 3/8 but I did and I am happy with how it turned out

The double pic is from my eastern the year before last

And I must brag a little bit my taxi guy does pretty dam good work

Thanks!!! That's where he took his last breath was in a corn field so I went with that..Wish I took more pics at the shop but I have a even better ideal for a eastern if I do another one of them.

Nice mounts Buddy, but Dang, those are the roughest lookin fans I've seen!! :shock:

Haha well it adds to the bird..The Rio was actually missing a feather,told him to work with it the best he could.

Awesome to get some of your birds mounted like for a slam great memories for the future. I was also going to ask about the fans I thought maybe the taxi did them that way on purpose as some of the ones in the shop pic have messed up fans. I shot my osceola and although he was a big old bird he had a messed up tail so I had him mounted standing to hide the tail plus he never did strut and was standing looking when I shot him ! Good luck on completeing the rest of the slam and building a nice man cave in your new house to display them !

i know this part all too well!!! turkey mounts take up some space for sure, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
