Ricky swung by for an eve hunt, and I thought for sure we could make it happen with only a few hours to hunt. Dang birds have roosted in the same spot for three days in a row.
Not today though. Too many people roaming around that area the last two days, I guess. Dang public WMA! Did hear one gobble at dark at probably 500yds though.
We did have a sweet setup/ambush, if they came back to roost again. Too bad nothin came by to check it out, Dang it!! We will just have to give it another go next week.
Lily cooked us some Chinese stir fry before we set out with some wild turkey breast, peppers, onions, and sticky rice. Ricky must have been hungry, cause he was askin for more!
Enjoyed sharing the woods with ya Ricky, hope to do it again soon!

Soon as Ricky left, he headed straight back to his lease, just east of Nashville about 40 mins.
It is way back in the sticks and hills, and they don't have any internet, or cell service unless they drive about 10 miles.
Probably won't hear from him for another week. Bet they are gonna put a hurtin on them this warm week.

Funny you mentioned a fork! He was sitting there and laughed and said, dang, your getting more on those chopsticks, than I'm getting with a fork! We then started talking about a Richard Pryor skit from years ago.
This may get moved to the Outback, but this is too funny not to tell. He was tellin about the blacks workin on the railroad, but they would not hire blacks because they wanted real money, and the chinese would work for that Yang money. So the blacks would cut thier hair to look chinese, just to get a job for any kind of money.
Anyways, he goes on to say, Chinese are funny people boy,... they have 2 sticks like this, and a bowl of food, gobble it up, and don't drop a dadgum speck!!! He says, Negro lose 3 lbs of food with a knife and fork!!!
